It makes little difference
The age of your key,
Or whether it's large or small
And if it's plain
Or brilliant with jewels
Is of no concern at all
But the vows you took
Along with your key,
Have you worn them constantly,
Quietly, deep in the heart of you
Where no one looks to see?
Have you touched the stars
You reached for once
Have you helped in ways you could?
Have you striven always to reach the true
The beautiful, the good?
What difference then
The style of your key, be it
Diamond or plain -- who cares?
The important thing is that you are true
To the key you choose to wear.
